Backing Out Of The Batcave: Sean Ulanowicz, of Blades Rod Shop, is in the driver's seat as he backs the Batmobile out of its trailer as it was readied for display at the Pittsburgh World Of Wheels Show at the David Lawrence Convention Center. Sean is the Co-Chairman of the show.
The Batmobile was designed by George Barris in 1965 over a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. Mr. Barris designed the Munster Koach, which was also on display. Mr. Barris appeard at the show for interviews, autographs and pictures with fans.
For Sean this was "a surreal experience. I remember watching Batman as a kid and thinking how cool the Batmobile is, and now here I am sitting in the driver's seat." He adds "It took everything I had to not make a quick break for the Convention Centers back door for a cruise through the city. How cool would it be to pull up to a stop light and say to someone standing on the corner, Have you seen The Joker".
